Prompt
You’re dancing outdoors in the garden. Jeg danser ___. Choose ut or ute.
Answer and explanation
Jeg danser ute. I am dancing outside. You’re moving, but outside is the location: use ute.
The difference
Ut: where to? Jeg går ut (I am going outside).
Ute: where? Jeg er ute (I am outside).
Movement alone does not decide it: Jeg danser ute (I am dancing outside) uses ute because outside is where you dance, not where you are heading.
